Karina Antonopoulos

Karina Antonopoulos

Relationship Coach for Highly Sensitive People

Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

  1. Process things deeper – we think about things deeper and therefore are more impacted by negative world events and causes that are meaningful to them.
  2. They become overstimulated more easily than those who are not Highly Sensitive because of a more active nervous system. If they consistently don’t take care of themselves, it can result in chronic health issues, adrenal fatigue, or mood disorders.
  3. They are more emotionally responsive and often have high levels of empathy. So yes, HSPs feel deeply and often become emotional when something triggers them. This also means they are more able to feel joy, pleasure, and positive feelings, as it is challenging for them to shut off their emotions for long periods of time.
  4. And HSPs tend to be detail oriented and notice subtle changes in their environment before anyone else

Karina believes that when HSPs join together in community and feel safe to be their true selves in their relationships, at work, and with themselves, they become braver human beings, and more willing and able to take risks and step outside of their comfort zone. She teaches her clients how to be a leader in their own life so that each person can help make this world a better place in the unique way they came here to. To see if you are a Highly Sensitive Person, take the self-assessment here: http://www.hsperson.com/test

Susan Kaplan

Susan Kaplan

M.S., VSTCP

On the journey of “still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up,” Susan Kaplan explains her serendipitous discovery of Vibrational Sound Therapy (VST) in 2016. “I was at continuing education for mental health peer support specialists; to learn new tools to help [clients] cope with life’s emotional and physical stresses.  I heard the beautiful, resonant tones of these Himalayan singing bowls and felt the soothing vibrations emanating from them…and I had one of those ‘lightbulb’ epiphanies: I could see myself doing this! It was relaxation and calm at a whole new level and I needed to learn more.”

My work for many years’ has been in various medical specialties, both human and animal. I enjoy learning and sharing knowledge on health, wellness and quality of life issues. VST is a great way to help people relax deeply. Clients report benefits including decreased anxiety, reduction and/or elimination of pain due to physical issues, relief of sinus congestion, to name just a few. While VST is not  medical and does not claim to cure disease or injury,  there is valid research on how sound and vibration promote deeper relaxation, positively impact brain waves associated with better sleep and improved immune system function.

My most unusual experience with VST came during my recent trip to Thailand.  I had the joy of spending time at Patara Elephant Farm, a sanctuary that uses VST to rehabilitate PTSD and improve reproduction in these beautiful beings. Watching elephants—ask me about the adorable babies—relax, fall asleep or calmly allow medical treatments is a life-changing experience! If it relaxes elephants, imagine what it could do for you! Contact me at 845-706-4431 or vibrationalsoundtherapyvst@gmail.com.
